How Sentosas Cipta came about
The name Sentosas Cipta means something like "created light" — a fitting description of what a well-built dashboard does for a business owner staring at columns of figures at midnight. We chose it because it says exactly what we hoped to offer: a little more clarity, created with care.
The consultancy grew from a practical problem. The founders — a pair of former corporate analysts who had spent years inside larger Malaysian companies — kept noticing the same issue when friends and family asked for help with their small businesses. The tools existed. The data was there. But nothing had been put together in a way that a busy owner could actually use.
We set up Sentosas Cipta in Kuala Lumpur to focus entirely on this gap. Not enterprise deployments. Not large transformation projects. Just small businesses, reasonable budgets, and the handful of figures that genuinely matter to each one.
Since then, we have worked with cafés on Jalan Telawi, logistics subcontractors in Shah Alam, tutoring centres in Petaling Jaya, and online retailers shipping across the peninsula. Every setup has been different. The approach has always been the same: calm, patient, and sized for what the business actually needs.
